The NESL Premier League features teams from across North America competing for a $5,000 prize pool. Teams are divided into three groups which compete for the chance to enter the playoffs. Each week, the NESL features two of the matches between the current top teams in each group.
In the first featured NESL Premier League match this week, Group B’s top team, Curse Gaming, faces off against third-place TheButtonMasherz. Curse maintains a significant lead in Group B, with six wins so far, but TheButtonMasherz can make significant progress in the group with a win.
With some recent lineup changes, Curse will be fielding their new team for the first time in a high-profile online event, and we’ll see how the team performs under the pressure. Meanwhile, TheButtonMasherz have been practicing behind the scenes with several top North American teams and will finally put that practice to the test in a live setting. SK Gaming, building off the momentum of their second place finish at IEM New York, are in a strong position to take down current leader Dignitas.
